My inverter won't run a load that it should be rated forUpdated 3 months ago

Please work through the following troubleshooting steps:

Double-check the specifications of your appliance and ensure that it operates at a wattage lower than the rating for your inverter. You can confirm this with an in-line wattmeter. 

Ensure the appliance's required watts/amps are within the battery rating in which your inverter is connected.

Ensure your battery is at a high voltage before using a large appliance. 

Please bear in mind that the 'inrush current' (also known as 'locked rotor current') may be in effect. This is the excessive current flow experienced when a larger appliance, such as an air conditioner, is first turned on. If this is the case, you may need a soft starter.
