My DCDC charger is not lighting up or turning onUpdated 3 months ago

Please ensure your cranking battery is above 13.2V when your vehicle is up and running (over 12V if your vehicle has a smart alternator with the ignition cable connected), and your charger should light up. Failing that, follow the instructions below:

1. Remove the DCDC charger from its current installation.

2. Slide off the red Anderson plug on the DCDC charger's vehicle input side. This will reveal two metal lugs: one positive (yellow cable) and one negative (black cable).

3. Press and hold the negative directly to the negative terminal of a battery with a voltage greater than 13.2V.

4. Press and hold the positive lug directly to the positive terminal of the same battery. Connecting this charger directly to the battery will bypass any cabling, fuses, relays, or circuit breakers that may be interfering with incoming current/voltage. If your DCDC charger lights up, it points towards an issue with the installation.

If your vehicle has a smart alternator, you must connect the small blue 'ignition override' cable to an accessory that turns on/off with the ignition, such as the 12V cigarette socket. This cable allows your charger to operate when the smart alternator is running.
