I am not getting the expected amperage from my DCDC chargerUpdated 3 months ago
Please go through the following troubleshooting steps:
1. Check the voltage on the cranking battery.
2. Check the voltage on the red Anderson plug connected to the DCDC charger. The voltages should be the same.
3. If the voltages are different, the cabling/installation is the reason the DCDC charger does not deliver the expected amps.
- The DCDC charger may not provide full current if the auxiliary is full.
- The DCDC charger may stop producing the full amount of current if the temperature rises too high.
- The DCDC charger is algorithm-based, so there will be times when it does not produce the maximum current it is rated for. This is normal operation for heat-synced DCDC chargers.
